Join Finlandia Foundation National and Finlandia Foundation Twin Cities for this three-part series about ICE, a story that gripped Finland – told first in the best-selling, award-winning novel by Ulla-Lena Lundberg, and then as an opera composed by Jaakko Kuusisto and performed by the Finnish National Opera.

Creating the Opera: Tuesday, Nov. 16: An interview with Jaakko Kuusisto, composer of the Finnish National Opera’s adaptation of the ICE novel, by writer and filmmaker Pekka Hako, exploring the composer’s inspiration and giving life to the story of the pastor meeting the risks and dangers of winter in the islands.
